Hi

I'm currently using OmniRemote on my Palm III and I'm considering buying the OmniRemote Module, but I don't want to spend ages lining up my palm with the tv or whatever. Can anyone with one of these modules tell me how well it works at an angle?

Thanks

Depends on the equipment you're trying to control. One of my TV's is pretty fussy, but the others, the video and particularly DVD player work at a pretty acute angle.

I find that it often works with fussy IR recievers to bounce the IR signal from the omniremote module off a wall or ceiling as it seems to spread the beam. This technique got me out of a hole when the remote for the projector at work decided to play up during a presentation!

Thanks for the reply, I will consider buying one now, but not before I have checked if I would be liable for import duty and VAT.
