I tried this software out tonight, and was sorely disappointed. The learning routine seemed fine, but yet when I tried it out, the units would not respond. I have an iPaq H3630.

I tried using the loaded default profiles, to no avail.

Also, the annoying notice about it being a non-registered program kept popping up during the learning procedure.

At this point, I would not shell out the bucks for this program. I would like to get a demo working half-way before purchasing...

That's true for the versions before 3.0. I found the layout ugly and the possiblieties limited.
But I tested the new version yesterday and bought it instantly because of the new ccf support. I find it works great now. There are two disadvantages though. It has still problems with repeat - its much too slow and you have to get and IR-Extender. But apart from that you get a Pronto Pro, but faster and better looking and cheaper. And this Remote can also keep a TV-Guide, your appointments and much more.

Greetings

Wilhelm

If PDAWIN would combine their software with the IR compact flash card from the Ultramote it would be a nearly perfect solution. The software from PDAWIN has been hit or miss since the release of the first version (which I bought anyway) and 3.0 is by far the best to date. I wonder how long CCF support will last until Philips gets their legal department to kill it.

I don't think they can. PDAWin is only interpreting a data file. If for example StarOffice can read a MS-Word document that isn't illegal either, is it?

In my oppinion the only thing the can do, is to cancel the public distribution of their editor.

I think it's the same speech of the emulator. Nintento can kill PocketGB?
