i did not see any discussion of this topic
sorry if it's already posted here somewhere

does anyone make a RF Springboard module for the Visor? I heard some mention of it before, but i could never run down the manufacturer. Also in the Omniremote SDK, there is a reference to sending the output as RF... i read it quickly, but it sounded like this was possible.

then you could just send your Omniremote codes to a RF receiver and have it convert it to IR

i have seen the conversion for the Pronto. using the Infared remote extender re200 from smarthome

but why not just put the RF Xmitter in a springboard module and bypass the IR coupling.

i have been looking for IC's that will do this and also integrate with the Springboard slot.

anyone been down this path before?

Do a search in the comp.home.automation forum, there is info there about the Omniremote, the required mod and all the X10 commands.

Good Luck
