I have a palm m500. I loaded version 1.171 of Omniremote. The program starts to load then gives the error message:

"Another Protgam is blocking the serial port. Check other IR programs on the Pilot. Check the Prefs program, make sure Serial/IR is set to Cradle."

I've checked everything, I still get the error message. I'm runnig 4.0 palm OS.
One of the possible issues may be some of the hard coded defaults in the palm. In Prefs -> Connections -> Available connections -> IR to PC/handheld and IR to phone. These defaults cannot be changed, or deleted.

Can anyone shed some light on this issues form me?

I just picked up an m505 and tried to use OmniRemote with the same results. If I had to guess, I'd say we're gonna have to wait for an update from them.
