They are awful. The mods manually approve every single post so it's pretty hard to get a good discussion going amongst installers. I've tried to start threads or add to discussions and half the time my posts aren't posted for no apparent reason. I see here that RemoteCentral has a catch-all category for smartphone remote control apps, but I think Roomie should have its own forum. If not here, somewhere, because the "official" Roomie forums are far too heavily censored for constructive conversations to take place.

Interestingly, I have heard from more than one individual through PMs that Roomie has exercised a somewhat surprising amount of control over how their product is discussed. Their forums are almost useless as a resource from custom installers, and it appears that AVS Forum posts may be censored as well.

hi nelli7979 ;)
I used roomie some months ago, but never used their forums.
One time, I just asked a question concerning a hardware BDP not mentioned in their compatibility list. Someone from roomie support team helped me find the right model to use for compatibility, and despite it was not 100% compatible, i was able to use the majority of buttons. Finaly, the best solution i found came from myself (network sniff).
Regards.

If what you say nelli is true, it's really surprising, because looking for a universal remote app for people with disability, i've found today on kickstarter some one, newmote, that seems to be 'customer oriented', using open forums to achieve their goal !!!
i will continue to search here in forums if there are other universal remote control apps for people with visual disability.

regards.
