hi guys,

me and my friend are working on a very simple app that will behave like remote control for my home Sony TV device. we developed simple app that has 2 inputs and one button (send)..:

input1 - pronto code
input2 - frequency

as I have Sony KDL 46HX800 I tried to send "power off" IR code to my TV but nothing really happens..:

pronto code (found on this forum)..:

0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 03de

frequency..: 40 kHz

could somebody tell me if I'm missing something..?

what I can see is that green diode on my TV blinks when I use my original Sony TV remote (RM-ED034) but when I use my HTC ONE trying to send above IR code this green diode does not blink at all...

confirmed that my HTC sends IR signal (confirmed with camera and I can see it's working)...

any advise why my TV does not recognize this signal..?

thanks in advance..!

looks like I found out what happened... this Pronto code had to be sent twice in short time (or doubled in length) then it worked..:

0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 03de 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 03de

my question now.: is this normal..? is this some kind of redundancy..?

why codes needs to be sent twice - at least in my case with above sony TV..?

please advise...

thanks..!

Many AV devices require 2 or 3 or more repeats of an ir code before they respond. In most programmable remotes, repeats is a parameter that can be adjusted for an ir code.

I had the same challenged when firing from an elan HC6. The sony devices I was using wanted to see 3 repeats before they responded. I am sure it probably also has something to do with the device you are firing the commands out of, as all emitters, blasters, etc are not created equally.

Hello guys,

I have the same Problem with an LGTV 47LA6208.

Was trying to send IR-Signals using the ConsumerIrManager API with my Galaxy S4.
The TV does not react. I could not solve it by repeating the signal.

I tried lots of codes I have found here including the following:

Toggle Power:

Frequency: 38028

Would you provide some code you have used?

Thx
