Hi, I don't know how to really word it, but this is what I want to do: Use a PDA and remote program that normally uses a headphone jack dongle; but instead of using the dongle, wire the headphone jack straight to the IR input jacks of mobile audio/video components made for a car. Is this possible? Right now, I have an AV amp/distribution model that uses an external IR eye, a mobile DVD player that also uses one of these eyes and a TV tuner also with the eye. I was thinking of instead of mounting the 3 infrared eyes and having to point 3 different remotes at them, to interface them to one cable that plugged into the headphone jack of the PDA. What do you guys think? Would it work? Have gain controls for each input line to the components? Am I thinking total ignorance here?
Thanks
