Wanted to ask a specific question about the Axim x51. Is it possible to have the D-pad tied to remote commands? Meaning, are the locked into specific functions, or can the remote software I choose program them to function as direction or channel functions?

I think yes. With NoviiRemote Deluxe PPC you can assign buttons to the commands you need.
