I'm trying to be tricky here and use my Handspring Visor to train some codes into my learning remote. So far, no success... but I'm hoping there is maybe something I'm not doing right and someone here can help me out.

I have the learning remote that came with my Pioneer Receiver (DSX-D811S). It's a remote to remote learner, so I can't just download codes from this site and plug them in. I was hoping to use OmniRemote as an intermediary, but so far I haven't had any success.

I downloaded some codes here for my new Lutron Graphik Eye Dimmer. I loaded them up into OmniRemote using a converter (CCFCnvt) that I think I found here. Anyways, the PDA works on the dimmer.

I just trained the remote using my projector's remote, so I'm confident that the thing works and I'm fairly good with the process. When I try to train using the PDA, it usually blinks 3 times meaning it didn't get a good signal. I really had to finess the angles and distances to get a solid "blink" on the learning remote. So I thought I finally had it, but then it still didn't control the dimmer.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

Make sure you don't have both of the remotes on a glass table top!
Also, could be your PDA sensor is very sensitive, try blacking part of it out with electrical tape.

The Novii remote blaster software (might work on your PDA)... is awesome!!!!!! I tossed all my other remotes and loaded this software onto my Palm Zire 72... It is totally cool!
