I ordered and received the remote extender as sold by Smarthome per recommendations on another thread here. So far, it works great, but it doesn't "fit" my Palm III. If you put the face of the IR receiver piece right up against the top of the Palm, it can't see the Palm's IR transmitter.

Right now, I've got it duct taped to my Palm w/ a little piece of cardboard that holds the transmitter away from the Palm's IR and angled slightly away.

Needless to say, this arrangement is rather precarious. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Dan

All you have to do is press the ir repeater so it is on a little angle pointing foward off the velcro so it is directly over the ir emitter on the Palm.
There is still enough contact with the velcro that the ir repeater will stay on.

Fixed the problem. I disassembled the IR repeater with the intention of unsoldering the little reciever and replacing it with one that had longer leads so that it could be positioned further "down" in the unit. Turns out I was able to bend it down enough that it works like a charm when connected flush with the Palm.
