Hello,

I just purchased a Motorola HDT100 from ebay without a remote. I know that I need to get a remote in order to use it and I was planning to use my Palm with Noviiremote software.
It allows you to edit the HEX value manually, but when I use the values given in the motorola manual, it says that it's invalid.

Using RC5, the manual says the following (thanks to a previous poster for saving me typing this out :)

I've been researching for hours and I'm sorry, but I really don't understand how this works.. if somebody could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it..

THanks..

HOW??? How did you take the simple HEX codes and convert them into what you did? I have NOVII, a DVD player with no remote and HEX codes but cannot figure out how to get it entered into NOVII 3.22. Could you please post the same for the following codes? TIA.

Can anyone explay how a RC5 code (ex: 00 5) is turned into such a long codification:

Power Off
0000 0073 0000 000B 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0CC4

What does it mean?
