I have the opportunity to get an Axim3 with wifi card for a pretty decent price from a friend. I have heard a lot about them being used as remotes to "replace" or compete with the Pronto series. I currently own the TSU3000 and have been wanting to upgrade to the color version but the price is too high.

I was wondering if there are any good or bad things I should know before I take this venture. It looks to me per reviewing some websites that I can mimic the Pronto color exactly on the Axim3. The only thing that may be an issue if the lack of RF control since my equipment is not directly in front of me.
