Can I use Home Theater MX-600 remote to control PC?

I'd like to use my Home Theater MX-600 remote to control my PC using another party's PC remote controll software like that which comes with the Snapstream Firefly or X-10?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

if the remote that came with the PC remote is IR, there should not be a problem. If you don't have a PC remote, look athe reviews, there are two that are IR
