Hello forum!

I want to do the following

Control my HTPC
Control my TV
Control my Marantz 5300 receiver
Control my Sony CD Player
Control my Pioneer DVD-454 player.
Control my projector?

All this via one device! Is it possible?

How would i go about setting this up?

I have been reading the forum, but most posts are very product specific. I basically need to understand the the fundamentals so I have a platform for choosing my equipment.

Thanks

If you want to do all that from ONE remote you're going to need an IR-based PC remote control (like the iMon or Streamzap) and a learning universal remote.

Thank you for your reply.
I forgot about this post (is there no notification function?) and bought the Pronto NG. I'm hoping to use it to control my PC through Girder.
I'll be using several different codesets to ensure I have enough discrete codes available. What do you think of this solution. Will it work?
