Im having big trouble finding a remote to fit my needs and really would love some suggestions on how I can go about a new HTPC and still use the same remote for all my audio and video separate from my HTPC. I have tried the niveus witch can do all of the above but I hated the layout of the remote. I also didn’t like the fact that I could not use other remotes with the receiver. I don’t think I’m looking for a lot but I’m lost in to many options and don’t know much about any on of them. I also really would like to have a clue what the deferent’s of serial and USB blasters.
This is what im looking for.
1.Would like to stay in the 150$ range for the remote and blaster, if not lower.
2.Would like the option to use other remotes with the receiver
3.I don’t need a mouse on my remote.
4.Unlike the niveus remote I would like the navigation buttons to be reasonable size.
5.Upgradeability for new devices.
