Hi, I was sent here from another forum because they couldn't exactly help me with the specific problem that I am having. Here it goes:

I have an ATI TV Wonder Pro in my Daughters machine, I liked it so much, I bought her a Remote Wonder. All was good. Now, I just got her a DVD Drive, and I installed the 'InterVideo Win DVD' software that came with the drive. Well, the Remote Wonder won't work %99 the features of the DVD software (no huge suprise, but a few buttons would have been nice). I then tried to re-install the ATI Multi Media Center software (there is a new version 03/09/05), and I hoped that now that I have a DVD Drive, the DVD Decoder would be installed. Well, I got the same 'no ATI DVD Decoder software found, ATI DVD Decoder will not be installed'. So, I googled ATI DVD Decoder, and I then downloaded it. When I tried to install it, it wouldn't work even when I used my sons 9800Pro install disk for ATI-CD verification (I am guessing that you actually have to have a ATI video card in that machine for it to work, so no big surprise).

So here is what I am asking;
1) Does anyone have a 'Remote Wonder' plug in for 'InterVideo DVD'?
2) Is it possible to get ATI DVD Decoder to work without having an ATI Video card?
3) Is there a decent free DVD decoding program out there that will work with the Remote Wonder?

Thanks in advance for your time and patience. I truly appreciate any help that you can give me.

Hi,
I am not sure which DVD program Intervideo makes, but there is a page located at: [Link: remotew.free.fr] that lists all the known plugins for the Remote Wonder. I use a program called uICE to control my remote in place of ATI's, because I really think it is piece of junk. uICE lets you program all the buttons on the remote and EASILLY make a plugin for any program they don't already offer one for. It has a nice setup walkthrough that makes it pretty quick to get the hang of. It costs $20 to buy, but it is well worth it for the functionality and has a free trial. You can find it at http://www.mediatexx.com/ Hope that helps you solve your problem!
