I did search but couldn't find a device, if it exists, that I'm looking for....

I am looking for a device that streams audio from my PC using I-Tunes/Windows Media Player to my stereo where the wireless device that interfaces with my stereo receiver only receives the audio stream but doesn't have any kind of built in functionality or communication back to the transmitter or PC. I had a media center that would stream audio from my PC to my stereo but it also ran their 3rd party app that would display on my TV to control what was being played, etc. I have a "back office" way of controlling my PC and don't want to run any 3rd party applications (aside from the driver for whatever the device is) and have no need or want of a streaming device that does anything but pass an audio stream and nothing else. I hope I was able to adequately describe what I'm after. Anyone know of such a device?

Thanks in advance,
Zak

you could use something like a terk leapfrog which sends A/V and IR over a 2.4ghz band and just use the audio. i think the system is about $100

You could also use a SoundBridge (by Roku)

I think there are some other inexpensive wireless audio transmitters, but their quality may be in question.

Apple airport express. $99 perfect tool. The minipin out for headphones also has optical - you need the $5 adapter.
If Bush's brains were gasoline, he wouldn't have enough to power a piss-ants go kart around the inside of a Cheerio.
