Hi. I'm no expert at remotes and wanted your advice.

I built an HTPC a few months ago for $600 and for the little money I put into it, it's a pretty hot machine. The one problem with the system is the input. I bought a wireless keyboard/mouse with the hope that it would work in the living room while the PC was in the neighboring office. I didn't realize that the wireless keyboards/mice on the market had a maximum range of 13 feet.

I've been looking for a PC remote. I'm running Media Center on Vista 32 Ultimate. It has to be RF remote because I have a wall between my office and living room. The couch is about 20 feet from the HTPC. It has to be under $100 (per wife's restrictions). Universal remote and mouse capabilities are desirable, but not essential. Any suggestions?

I think the Snapstream Firefly and the Gyration GO 2.4 are the ones I'm considering most, but if you have any input on any other remotes, I'm all ears.
