I have the Haupauge PVR 350 installed in my HTPC. I wanted to know if I can use the IR reciever with my Universal MX500 remote to control windows. Basically to program it for any keyboard presses. Would this be a waste of time? Should I just go with the USBUIRT for use with my MX500? I was looking to save the $50 for the USB dongle by using my Haupauge IR capability, but if its to hard I will just buy the USBUIRT.

Thanks for any advice in advance,
Jesse
