Hello,
I have quite an old TV that is connected to my HTPC running MCE. I use the MCE-remove control to switch on and off the TV, using the programming function for the remote control - works fine. The only problem I have is that if I press the Power On-button on my original TV-remote it starts with the last channel before the TV was switched off last time. But to control everything with the MCE-remote I need the TV to switch to the AV-channel, which would be a second button-press on the original remote control, but you cannot program a series of buttons to work as ONE button for the MCE-remote, can you?
Anybody got an idea on how to solve this? With IR-blasters or something?
Regards,
Christoph

A different remote would probably be your best bet. MCE remotes are very limited as most original equipment remotes usually are. My MCE remote is over 4 years old yet brand new as it has never been used, I have always had a better remote that controls my complete system.

I concur... you need a universal remote with macro capabilities. The good part is your MCE remote is IR, which is easily controllable by universals.
