Video Calibration: What's it All AboutBy EH Staff
Two video calibration experts to share their tips in one-hour webcast. While most videophiles and home theater enthusiasts know that a TV or video projector is far from picture perfect out of the box, most people don’t know how to get it there. Video calibration is part art, part science, and to a lot of people, part mystery. We’ve invited two of the consumer electronics world’s top experts in video calibration to share their knowledge on the subject in a one-hour online webcast January 20th at 8PM EST.
Joining our discussion will be Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) founder and President Joel Silver and ISF Technical Consultant and co-founder of TweakTV Kevin Miller.
Silver works closely with CEDIA, CEA and many home theater manufacturers on video standards and optimization. He produced a DVD for HDTV calibration and developed the calibration wizard that’s built into the Windows OS. He conducts video calibration training seminars all over the world.
Miller has written hundreds of articles on HDTV and was a former managing editor and publisher for The Perfect Vision magazine and one of the founders of etown. He personally calibrates home theaters all over the country, and his website offers visitors advice on how to improve the performance of their TVs.
The session will be moderated by CE Pro’s Arlen Schweiger and Electronic House’s Grant Clauser.
