Today, things are much different. The recession has stricken the new home market, forcing installers to shift away from the residential construction market and commit to the retrofit and commercial channels.
As a result, many well-known companies have introduced systems that use everything from traditional line-level and speaker-level products to new wireless and powerline products that support retrofit sales.
We've rounded up some of the new solutions that have recently hit the market.
Aton AH66T KitThe big news from ATON during CEDIA Expo 2010 was the introduction of its AH66T kit. This all-in-one solution bundles a AH66T multi-source/multiroom controller with six OLED 2 touchpads, and the ability to instantly work with products like the iPort iPod docking products and Lutron’s retrofittable RadioRA 2 lighting control system.
Audio Design Associates Suite 32ADA’s newly announced Suite 32 multiroom audio system can be configured with as many as 32 sources to feed up to 96 zones, and its architecture supports the use of web-enabled TVs as sources.
