A look at products you don't want to miss at CEDIA Expo

After going through a decade of trends from CEDIA Expo, we've been trying to figure out how this year's show will be remembered.

Will it be about 3D or the iPad? Home automation? The end of the recession and the start of more good things to come?

We do know there will be a ton of cool products on display at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

While 3D is certain to get a lot of buzz, there are other products at the show worth your time. Is there a must-see product on your list?

SIM2 Grand Cinema C3X LUMIS UNO Projector
Aiming to fulfill the need for a broader 3-chip DLP-based display portfolio, SIM2 is introducing a new entry-point to its Grand Cinema C3X series. The Grand Cinema C3X LUMIS UNO projector is among the smallest full HD 3-chip projectors on the market. Featuring a new finish, Moonlight Silver, the $29,999 unit is based on a trio of DC4 4, 0.95-inch, 1080p DLP chipsets from Texas Instruments

Home theater projectors and screen manufacturers have enabled CinemaScope 2.35:1 aspect ratio viewing without the pesky black bars, usually requiring anamorphic lens or zoom. Looks like we’re anticipating some projectors at CEDIA that don’t require either – like this cool model from Norwegian manufacturer projection design. Rather than lose resolution like when projecting 2.35:1 on a 16:9 screen.
