I added a little something for those of you who use your PS3 as your Blu Ray player for your home theater (as I do). I created a background a while ago that was personalized and seemed to get a lot of comments when we have family parties or friends over for movie nights. You can now download a 1920 X 1080 wallpaper, which is a re-worked version of the the Hollywood theme that is included with some of our touch panels.

There are two versions, one has a small black border for DLP projectors and DLP rear projection systems and the other is for fixed pixel displays such as LCD, LED, and plasmas. You can customize the wallpaper in Photoshop or Paint Shop pro by adding any text you like across the top such as your last name etc....

I still havent seen it on an LCD, LED, or plasma, let me know how the colors look if you decide to use it on one of these. Enjoy.

Thanks 39, I discovered that one by accident. So, I played around with the Hollywood / oscar theme until I got it to fit just right with my DLP projector, the crop feature on DLP always seems to cut off the edges on the full version, which is why I put the black border around the edges. I think I may put up a few more PS3 wallpapers as time goes on.

That's a great idea Noel. If any of you are interested, it's actually pretty easy to create entire themes for the PS3 including the icons and everything. If you do a Google search for "how to make ps3 themes" or whatever, you will find resources including vector shapes for the icons and the compiler scripts that zip everything up. I'll warn you though, this can become a very addictive time-sucking activity if you're not careful. I stayed up until 4am one night just experimenting with the thing ;)

Hi Aaron, I may have to check that out. And I know what you mean by getting into a time vampire project like that........

Hi Vincent, the font on the top is called Trajan Bold but you know the drill, just let me know if you want a personalized version or the text you want to see across the top and I can send it it to you in a couple minutes. I have it already set up in layers and it takes about 30 seconds to do on my end.

I have a request for the MX-980 template you have.... Besides it looking great and using it for my personal remote, I would like the option to use my own text for each device/activity/button. That way I can change the text to whatever I like and color as well. Also any chance of adding more buttons? Like something for outdoor speakers, Apple Airtunes, etc.

Thanks

KVH,

No problem on the activity buttons without the pre-made text, I already have those ready to go. I can create new activity buttons for just about anything you guys need, so lets get a list together so I can do this all at once. Ill post this on the URC board as well to grt some input.

KVH, the new updated MX-980 template is online. There is also a new folder with all the blank / no text icons in both narrow and wide versions. I added outdoor speakers, AirTunes, and changed the AppleTV icon.

If you need anymore, just let me know.
