Our AMX Interface. We went for super simple so that it is as easy for the customers. We also provide feedback of what it is currently controlled under the room name but this cannot be seen at the picture since this is done by code.

2 things.. #1. I like that you say "the other day" i say that all the time. I explain to my friends that "the other day" translates (from hillbilly) to any point in my life before right now :). So it could be 2 days ago or 2 years ago :).

#2. That animation is awesome! Very creative!

How do you get jacket/cover art for the movies? Is it being pulled from somewhere or is it 'fake feedback'? What devices is it?

Layout is really nice. I would like to design something for CQC at some point. I wish i had it to experiment with.

#1   I wonder if it is a midwest thing (i'm from milwaukee)    In this case it was more of a 2 days ago translation :)

#2  thanks.  now i just have to figure out a way to trigger the shutdown macro at midnight :)

Charris,

I noticed that you have both RED and ORANGE Font. On my monitor the orange font is much easier to read. Is this something you are experimenting with to find the best or does it change depending on source/room selection or something?

I haven't done very many graphic remotes. I have posted pix b4 of a mx3000 that I was working on and have changed multiple times. I'll post some pix later b/c this is a good thread to have lots of samples and ideas in.

Great topic!

Corey, no it does not change, the pictures are from 2 different projects. I decided that we should change it to red because grey and red are the colours of our company logo.

Very good question. This is what we are implementing right now to improve the whole house AV page. Volume feedback for every room with an easy way to control this from that page with a popup and also doing the same as the GUI above for video. Anything else we can do in the whole house AV page? I think that is a very important page that deserves a lot of thought.

By the way the code is quite advance on that page. You can choose a source and then the rooms or choose the rooms and then the source - you can do this both ways. It seems to work but we might change to something simpler and just say there "please choose the rooms and then the source".

I wanted to test it today to make sure......

Our global AV is one way. Select rooms then select a source that gets routed to them.

We have a single set of volume controls just like you and it adjusts the currently selected room or rooms.

Originally the programmer had some very cool features but the clients were having some trouble with it so we changed it slightly.

IMO the gloabal audio video page is the most important feature of the panel. The customers LOVE it.

Layout is really nice. I would like to design something for CQC at some point. I wish i had it to experiment with.

CQC supports several music and movie repositories (including CQC specific ones). I am using DVDProfiler, so CQC is pulling the DVD covers from that program. If I add movies to the DVDProfiler program, I simply need to reload the CQC repository (by pressing a button) and the new movies will automatically show up.

CQC also pulls the metadata from DVDProfiler. I have a "Movie Preview" screen that would pop up when you select a movie from the repository. That preview screen has a larger cover as well as information about the movie (actors, ratings, discription, etc, etc, etc).

CQC does have a 30 day free trial, but for someone who has a full time job doing something else, that probably isn't really long enough to do it justice.

[Link: charmedquark.com] Here is a post from my CQC thread that shows my original templates. They were designed for a 800x600 screen. I've since redone them in a 1024x768 size - some of which I posted already on this thread.

OK 39centstamp - you made me update my running CQC thread. I've posted more screen shots there, so you might want to check it out.
