From yesterday's New York Times:

The case for weighing the impeachment of President Trump boils down to a few simple points: In an effort to win re-election in 2020, Mr. Trump apparently attempted to extort a foreign government into announcing an investigation of his top political rival. The president did so while also trying to revive a conspiracy theory that casts doubt over whether the Russian government interfered in the 2016 election on his behalf. Witnesses have already testified that in order to achieve those goals, Mr. Trump withheld hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid against the bipartisan wishes of Congress. All the while, the president and his staff have refused to cooperate with the congressional investigation into what transpired.

Meanwhile, in other news:

The impeachment of President Trump continues : In an effort to win re-election in 2020, the Democratic Party, in cool, calculating fashion, times it’s impeachment proceedings to stir the nation against the President. It is reported and fully expected to be dragged out into the campaigning season, in an effort to influence the upcoming 2020 election. All the while, the leaders of the party show great indignation that Mr Trump could ever do such an illegal act, clearly ignoring its own attempt to do precisely the same thing.

From the Daily Spin:
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

So you're saying that the Democrats are committing an illegal act? Interesting.

Only Trump could be dumb enough to commit a crime (witness intimidation via Tweet) in real time, during his own Impeachment Hearings!

You can't make this stuff up. Even Fox News was struggling with this one!

This all makes sense to an unruly six year old. He's just proving to himself and his base that he cannot be controlled.

From the Daily Spin:

If anyone timed this impeachment proceeding it was Trump. He made the call on the 25th and then immediately began destroying and altering evidence, removing witnesses from their jobs and stone walling investigators.

July 25th Trumps Call occurred.

August 12 Whistleblower files complaint after receiving multiple reports from witnesses to the call.

September 2 DNI fails to send complaint to congress.

September 9 IG notifies house chair that DNI has blocked complaint.

Between September 10th and 23rd there is a lot of back and forth with media breaking stories and congress asking Trump admin to comply. Trump doesn't comply.

September 24th hearings began.

Make sure you listen to a steady diet of news that is alternative from the one you are accustomed to. Otherwise you will only get one side of the story. I regularly listen to both sides on my local outlets, to understand what is being disputed. I don’t believe you are.

BTW I am not slamming you by any means. I only know that when only one side of the story is presented, you have not digested both.

Right. But the "Other Side" of the story is:

- "It was the Ukrainian Government that interfered with the 2016 election"

- "Hunter Biden committed some kind of war crime or something"

- "The Ukrainians got their money in the end so no harm/no foul"

- "It's all hearsay"

Instead of listening to (Doctor?) Michael Savage, why don't you just watch the hearings?

The hearings are just beautiful, aren’t they? I think if you were able to honestly step back and get a good look at the landscape, you would see that the only significant thing going on is normal politics. You’re forgetting what a freaking ugly business politics is, and the things that we find out about that go on behind the scenes is just the tip of the iceberg.

If you are conducting the hearings, the beautiful part is, you get to draw in all of these people and all the stories that really have no bearing on anything at all, but then you get to indict people that normally would go unnoticed.

What you are forgetting is that this was supposed to be an impeachment hearing for something, but that something didn’t pan out so then let’s try something else, well that didn’t pan out so well either, well let’s try this… And on and on it goes.

In the normal course of business, politicians do bad things stupid things whatever you wanna call them. But I don’t think we have seen an impeachable offense yet, hard as they might try. Not saying everything is rosy and squeaky clean. Just saying there are no high crimes here.

I don’t expect you to agree.

"all of these people"? Like the 1/2 dozen or so that are ignoring requests to testify and/or ignoring subpoenas for depositions & documents?

What you are forgetting is that this was supposed to be an impeachment hearing for something, but that something didn’t pan out so then let’s try something else, well that didn’t pan out so well either, well let’s try this… And on and on it goes.

What I'm forgetting? More like what you're making up (or parroting from Sean Hannity). It's an impeachment hearing about the President abusing his power by asking a foreign government to dig up dirt on his assumed political rival in the 2020 election. They are in the process of gathering evidence (which would be much easier if Trump didn't stop people from showing up - why does an "innocent" person need to hide so much?) and when they have finished they will draw up articles of impeachment. Your "Try this, try something else, rinse/repeat" argument is too lame to be taken seriously. A common theme for most of the dribble that comes out of you mouth.

Keep on believin’

The difference between me and you is that I can agree with part of what you say and disagree with other parts. You diss everything I say. Part of growing older and smarter is intuitively knowing there are two sides to every story.

You don’t get that I am not defending what happened. Just saying there is more to the story. You can’t see beyond pure hatred and disdain.

I've watched the "Schiff show"
It looks like a failed atempt at this point.

I did find it somewhat humorous that he finally dropped down to accusing Trump of the same thing that Biden did and bragged about(on video)!

It's a crazy world.

Perhaps we can get Maxine Waters to smooth things out!

When it comes to corruption,I guess we will see who's involved
when the Horowitz report comes out!

Then we can figure out who the offenders are!
