Question:

Should Trump be Impeached? Yes or no?

If yes, why?

If no, why not?

Bonus questions: Is Hunter Biden rich? Is Trump Putin's bitch?

Next question. Who gives a squat?

Every single republican and all of FOX News...but that was only when Clinton lied about a blow job. Apparently treason and blackmail aren't consider bad in their world. Go figure.

So that’s all Clinton did. OK. Did you erase from memory him lying under oath and obstructing justice??

Isn’t that what you don’t like about trump, that he does EXACTLY the same thing??

I keep going back to this theme. If your guy is the wrongdoer, you are willing to rewrite history to excuse him. If it’s your enemy that does the exact same thing, you accuse him of treason.

And then when your inconsistency is brought to your attention, the response is, “well, that was different.”

This pattern repeats itself again and again.

I just want to ask you in a non-threatening, non-inflammatory way, do you see why I can’t get behind any of them? And do you see why I shake my head when you pay homage to one over the other?

It seems like your video supports my thinking.

This thread is a survey about whether or not Trump should be impeached. If you want to discuss Clinton then start your own thread about something that happened long ago. And resulted in his acquittal.

Trump just decided, through his White House council, that he can't be impeached, investigated, indicted or stir-fried. He thinks he is a King and that he's above the law.

Quit changing the subject. If you don't have any opinion on Trump/Impeachment then stay away from this thread.

The answer from the Right, to any criticism from the Left, can't always be "But what about Benghazi?"

And the only one talking about "Treason" is Trump!

Keep out of this thread? You funny boy.

There was certainly enough evidence to impeach Clinton, and more of our legislators thought he was guilty than not guilty. It just didn’t happen to reach the threshold to put him on trial. But to call him acquitted is another classic case of rewriting history, as though he was not guilty when he was. Why would you do that? Why are facts not important to you, unless they happen to serve your point of view?

There are many things that we can agree upon, when they are factual. Many things you may say about Trump I would be in complete agreement with. But when you can’t do anything with certain facts except adjust it to your viewpoint, how can we have a discussion?

In the interest of your far reaching survey, I don’t think impeaching him would do any good. It would not help the country. It would not go far enough to remove him from office. It would probably put a large dent in the Democrats chances for unseating him in the next election.

Now you're just being a stupid idiot. Wikipedia is your friend.

The Senate acquitted him. This is public record. LOOK IT UP! I am not rewriting history.

Do you not know how impeachment works? LOOK IT UP!

LOOK IT UP!!!!!!!!!

LOOK IT UP!!!!!!!!!

As you requested, from Wikipedia: “Although proceedings were delayed due to the bombing of Iraq, on the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228–206 vote)[19] and obstruction of justice (by a 221–212 vote).[20] Two other articles of impeachment failed – a second count of perjury in the Jones case (by a 205–229 vote)[21] and one accusing Clinton of abuse of power (by a 148–285 vote).[22] Clinton thus became the second U.S. president to be impeached, following Andrew Johnson in 1868, and the third against whom articles of impeachment have been brought before the full House, that being Richard Nixon in 1974.”

I was actually going to ask you if YOU knew how impeachment works. Not that many do.

So this is how history can be rewritten. He most clearly was shown to be guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. But when the trial began, not enough legislators thought that his breaking the law was serious enough to remove him from office. So “acquitted” means he was not removed from office. The evidence proved he did commit perjury and obstruct justice. He did the things you hate Trump for. Per Wikipedia.

Right, like the current occupant of the White House. Not only does he think he can't be indicted (only by some "rule" in the DOJ which hasn't been tested in court), he also thinks he can't be investigated! And now he's claiming he can't be impeached! No other sitting president has ever come so close to claiming himself the King of The USA. Can we at least agree on that?

Well, shore! Why not!

Just to recap, are you willing to agree that Mr. Clinton was guilty of the same two crimes that are most egregious regarding Mr. Trump?

Your options might be:

1. Agree

2. Change the subject and ignore the obvious

3. Rewrite history

You have so many screws loose that I don't know what's holding you together!

Bill Clinton was not impeached for asking a foreign government for help in his reelection campaign. I will certainly admit that Bill Clinton lied and covered up a blow job - who hasn't done that! But, specifically, he was impeached for lying to congress and obstruction of justice. That's it. And then the senate voted not to convict. What Trump did (and has admitted to) is so much worse. Why can't you see that?

And now Trump claims he can't be impeached because it's unconstitutional! Funny, since the impeachment process comes right from the constitution.

Your options might be:

1. Agree

2. Go away

Beautiful. Yo dude may have done something but jes’ a leetle thang.

Your enemy, why it’s unconscionable, what he’s done! Sure, it helps to fictionalize some important documentation that accuses him. But I’m afraid you’d rather overlook that, than to dig in and settle on the truth.

Note that I have not over emphasized Bill's criminal activity, nor have I understated Trump's illegal activity. I am trying to be balanced, and hoping you are able to consider that option.

I maintain that you don't get to their level without being bought and sold, and tweaking the rules anytime you wish. So they are all the same, with only slightly different flavors of corruption.

Guilt by association. Being a politician. It’s the way it is.
