Hey folks, like many I have been a frequent, then infrequent user of Remote Central. Daniel helped me immensely over the years, then my life and career took me in a different direction. I would make an effort to visit the forum now and again to see what's up.

Today I logged in and noticed at the bottom of the page "1998-2018 Daniel Tonks"

Amazing! 20 years of Remote Central - well done Daniel. I imagine life has taken you in different directions over the years as well but a quick thank you to all the assistance and also keeping this website running for 20 years!

Thank you my friend,

Rick

20 years is a long time...Almost as old as the internet.

It seems like i was logging into MSN chat and playing age of empires just yesterday.

agree with all of this. If I am not mistaken it was in 1999 when I first fell upon this site as an IT guy looking for a good way to control VC equipment and Daniel's review of the Pronto made me take a chance with it.

Ditto!
I was being asked to program Prontos way back when I joined, and this site was the passport to making it possible. Daniel's contribution to a comprehensible world of audio/video equipment cannot be overstated.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
