I don't know why everyone is fretting so much about the cost of the wall. Trump can crowd source the wall with the promise of ad revenue. He can use his proven real estate financing skills to borrow the money, build with inexpensive migrant labor, then stiff the investors and contractors -- the wall will be built for free, ad revenue will be channeled through his charities, and lawyers will make a lot of money pointlessly attempting to avenge something. Pointless because the Justice and Legislative branches will be in Trump's pocket.

Based on Trump's experience we will build the wall & then declare bankruptcy when Mexico won't pay for it. Make America great again!

Oh no, not signs! Souvenir hunters will poach them, giving rise to endless "conspiracy!" investigations.

Anything capable of storing or transmitting an image will be reprogrammed to search for and report these signs. Heaven help the (Democratic) pranksters when they are caught and Water Boarded. Worse if they have foreign looks, names, or religion. Undocumented? Then, it will be Purgatory forever.

BTW, there are already tunnels under the wall. Every now and then they find one.

Correction, there are already tunnels before the wall gets built. Drug tunnels mostly as far as I know.

We already have fences/walls in populated areas, some 600 miles out of 2000 mile of border. Much is a baron desert with little to no population.

The tunnels I mentioned were found in San Diego and I assume they were built after the wall was.

Does anyone think those tunnels will not continue to be built?

Tunnels are relatively easy to conceal in urban areas. Building tunnels in desert areas is both easier and harder. Easier for the builder because there is more area to keep under surveillance and your tunnel is less likely to be noticed, harder because aerial surveillance is more practical and change in the terrain at the entrance and exit is easier to spot (details such as dirt disposal and new roads and trails). Tunnels in rugged mountain areas would be much harder to spot.

Keep in mind that there is a ready supply of relatively inexpensive (compared to the value of the merchandise), motivated labor. Given the value of the "cargo" a tunnel that is only used once is worth the cost.

Overall, this will continue to be a wack-a-mole situation. Lots of good jobs and more business for the surveillance industry. But, I wonder if this will offset the jobs about to be lost in the tourist industry. (Why would anyone want to schedule a trip to the US when you risk being declared to be a criminal in mid air, then held in limbo.)

I'm assuming that this would be a wall built by Canada. Would this be an attempt to prevent American nationals from migrating or an attempt to prevent the current "limbo" (unregistered, fleeing) US residents from migrating North?

Don't really have to worry about it. All of those cry babies won't actually move there, but it would be cool to prevent any more biebers coming down here.
