Just as full of shite as the Orange Raccoon.

Did NOT write her speech. Did not get her degree in architecture.

Birds of a feather.

Being a little unfair aren't we?  ;)

We already have a underling admitting it's their fault. Just because Melania claimed she wrote it herself is immaterial.

Just because she is claiming she graduated from the University of Slovenia and there is no University of Slovenia doesn't mean she didn't graduate from the University of Slovenia. For all we know it exists as a super secret - need to know - only for the top 0.01% - stealth university.

Regardless, what a family member says at a party convention has little to do with anything, other than maybe a reflection on the candidate.  In this case she's there because her husband wanted some good looking arm candy.

What's really disturbing is there are some out there who will vote Trump because his wife is a ex model instead of his attributes (yes, the ability to keep assets through a bankruptcy is a attribute).

All she had to do was say "im a former model not a speech writer, i am not a native english speaker i hired someone to help me take my thoughts and ideas and turn them into something that i could share with the people. I read the finished work and thought it correctly expressed what i wanted to say. I had no idea parts of it were plagiarized. I apologize for that but i stand by the speech i gave".

Then no one would be able to say anything about it. 90% of the people giving speeches today are hiring people to write them. She hired a pro and got burned. Big deal.

But...like her sugar daddy...she told everyone how hard she worked on it and how she did it with very little help from anyone else...and after it happened she didn't immediately own up to it...so now shes an internet meme.

That's a weakness of politicians in America. They're stuck in this "cannot apologize/stick by my position" mentality.

All they have to do when accused of flip-flopping on a subject is say:
"Yes I used to support X. Now I don't. Why? My constituents wanted me to support X. Now they don't. They voted for me to represent their needs. That's my job, I take it seriously and won't put some special interest over my constituents."

That ability could well be invaluable in the coming years, given that as for the time of this posting, every single American taxpayer owes $163,071.00 in National debt. This does not include any personal debt.

That's why we need to massively expand the military. Does that make sense? Surely not, but when did US politics make sense?

I just checked again and in the last 5 days, the figure has gone up to $163,131.00 owed per taxpayer in National Debt.

So in theory if every single taxpayer hands over an extra $12.00 a day in tax, the National debt would stop increasing.

But then again, if you want to eliminate the National debt you could tax every single taxpayer an extra $184.00 per week (that's 12 bucks a day plus an extra 100 a week) on top of what they pay now and the National debt could be cleared in 31.37 years from now. Of course that doesn't factor in the interest you would be paying on the original $163,131.00, but that can't be much right.

Ah yes, now i see why the massive expansion of the military is required. It's so that every American kid doesn't have to learn Chinese at school after the debt is called in.

And so ends today's episode of "Fun with Figures".
