What I love is how he thinks he is so knowledgeable! He accused Fin of not having the technical expertise, that he has in his little finger. LOL!
Anyone who has been in the military service and got training from there knows, it's a lot of BS. Almost in every case, the training received wouldn't amount to more than an on-line education class. Those really interested in a field, almost always have to seek outside (outside the military) education to really know what they are doing.
I wonder how many of his service buddies were annoyed by his arrogance in ignorance.

It was a good thread. It amazes me how these f'n idiots try and defend themselves once they've been caught. I've worked on a few bars in my day and can't think of one of them that had 6 completely different brands of TV or that didn't have at least a URC or RTI remote for proper control.

As you can imagine from tiffs I've had with threadclosers, I agree that it should have been allowed to continue.
We should be able to point to threads where new people who come here to sell crap are put down thoroughly and repeatedly for acting like it's okay to just jump in here, not contribute, and expect us to buy from them when they're lying to us about who they are. Unfortunately, when the proper treatment of these jerks is stopped by the moderator(s) closing threads, we end up looking like we're overreacting. What better support could that guy have gotten than the rest of us being told by a moderator to shut up? Closing the thread changes the subject from the bad behavior of the original poster to the ongoing controversy about closing threads. Surely this is not what was intended as "moderation."
Why doesn't a moderator actually act to MODERATE things and, for instance, step in and say "come on, guys, this guy is a jerk but don't let's all be jerks." The moderator does not seem to know how not to be extreme. That is, does not know how to be moderate.

Seriously?
It was someone blatantly hocking a crappy product. it needed no attention at all and the fact that we needed another thread brought up after it was closed shows us all how much we can let things go around here.
The funniest thing is that it wasnt even me that closed the thread(although I would have if I saw it first).
A few of you just love piling on "the" poor moderator, when in actuality, there are at least 3 of us that have moderator access here in the custom installers lounge.

Lock what you moderators want, it matters not to me; none of this is life changing.
But, one thing to consider, there is one and only one thing that unites us on common ground...and that's a good ol' fashioned piling on a shill'er or other useless troll. Some might even go as far to say it boosts morale; remember the Wesley days? Never in the history of the Internet were a group of over-worked, under-sexed, under-paid nerds, wire pullers and glorified car salesmen so unified that we actually considered ourselves friends as opposed to just peers on the Internet.

I wish I could see that remote operate the bar that the background picture showed. Picture, which BTW, he stole. OK, I don't know that it's a copywritten picture or that he doesn't have permission to use, but who needs to be bothered with the facts. Don't be too hard on the guy. None of you actually know what it's like to live in Black Canyon City. If you need some background on it, there was a Bar Rescue episode where a guy rode a horse into the bar. That's Black Canyon City.
