Have you not figured out how to edit a post, to add more stupidity or do you think we really want to read your crap?

I guess you just replied to your own post.

Liberals like you would be OK if you'd stop telling everyone how cool you are, fro being liberal. Go drill a hole in a water pipe.

Since this thread has taken an obvious political turn, its being moved to off topic.

Well, I was going to reply, but since this has been moved, there's no point. No one will see it anyway

Don't be so sure.

On the way to Crufts this year, the wife and I stopped at a service station, at which I found this...

Perhaps, with the advent of the 3, they might actually see some use.

So, Fins, as an obvious conservative... in your own words, why the big pushback and hatred from conservatives, and the Koch brothers against Tesla?

In a prior Tesla thread a year or two ago you were all about what horrible cars they are and they would not succeed.

What is your main issue with them?

I know the conservative party sees them as some sort of threat.

BTW the model S is faster in the quarter mile than an M5. Not bad for a family sedan.

We are about electronics here at RC. Shouldn't we be supportive of this technology?

The reason the Koch brothers are against Tesla is that they are oil industry. The Koch brothers seem to have a lot of pull in the conservative media (IE Keystone) and thus help set the mindset. If you're conservative you (like everyone else) tend to believe what you're told in your favored media.

However I think Fins main issue is that when you're one one side of the issue, he's on the other. ;)

It has nothing to do with Bruce's unthought out ideas. My comment was only about people jumping to get in line to buy a car that not only hasn't been built yet, but isn't even close to having the bugs worked out. We could also question the idea of crowd funding a company owned by a billionaire.

Do you swipe a card to pay for the electricity used to charge your car? Or is tesla footing the bill to try to sell cars?

its part of your purchase. $2k when you buy is for lifetime charging at Tesla power stations. (its 2k on the "S", have not seen if this charge is the same on the 3)

Wishful thinking crossed my mind. Until the 3 hits the shelves the present cheapest model runs in at £55,000 - which includes a government grant of £5,000 for buying an electric car.

I image they're popular in London, as electric cars have a congestion charge exemption, but I've yet to see one in the flesh. They're still pretty thin on the ground over here.

The history of the auto industry is also outdated. Never has there been this much demand for a brand. While the company is not necessarily profitable it they come through on the Model 3 they will be a force for a while.

I was about to say the same thing. This is something new. They are changing the game from the ground up.

I would wager it had something to do with post 7 & 8 where Bruce turned his own thread about a car into a passive aggressive attack against Fins and conservatives.

Then the same thing but slightly different in post 8. Not sure why he didnt just edit post 7.

With initial sales now passing 325K, it's certain that this is being discussed in every major car manufacturer's boardroom.
