Is Queensland a good place to live? I've been reading good things about it.

You don't know how to send a private message to ask a question?

Oh wait, you do know how. The obscene messages you sent me prove you do. You just want more attention.

Don't discourage him from moving to somewhere far enough different of time zones from the US that he might not post here any more

They're only bullies until someone calls their bluff. Then they're nothing.

Queensland gets a lot of the tourist attention, but it's humid as hell. I greatly prefer my home in Melbourne as we have a great many things going for us.

Best coffee in the world (not joking)
Some of the best food in the world and certainly the best in the country
Voted most liveable city in the world repeatedly.
Sporting capital of Oz, almost every major sporting event is held in Melbourne.
Easy to understand city
Great architecture

Perth is also a great place to live but it is also the most secluded city on earth.

If you are unemployed and have no money, it would be more difficult than if you are retiring with money. It's likely easier than moving to the States, but yes there will be procedures to go through.

Neither of those qualify as cities. They are both settlements (now towns) as far as i can tell. Jamestown would need more clarification though as there are quite a few of them.

Most remote city is determined by proximity to the next closest city. There are all sorts of ways of potentially twisting the criteria to get varying results. I have used minimum population of 500.000 as the criteria as it seems to be a standard of what constitutes a city (among other things). On that basis Perth is the most remote at 2104km away from the next closest city (Adelaide) with the added bonus of being on the same land mass.
