Having peddled HI FI gear and some video for a chunk of my life, well---at times it can be challenging with some of the clients you come across...
...But over the last couple of days, I've been binge-watching (and yeah SOME of it is scripted) Hard Core PAWN.
The Pawn shop in Detroit with the creepy dad, and his son and daughter. I think I would last about an hour there!
Think you've got difficult clients / customers? Watch a few episodes of this show!

Some of it is scripted? Dude, 100% of that show is scripted. While it is entertaining at times to watch, stop thinking any of that is reality

Sadly it is probably still based on some of the realities they have to deal with at a Pawn shop in that area. There are some messed up people out there that I don't doubt act the way people are portrayed in that show.

One of their biggest hit is lizard lick towing. The only thing real is the towing company used in the show exists and is based in NC. But the stuff they do on the show to repo cars is entirely illegal in NC.

I do have that feeling that "no one acts like that". But as I grow older, and visit places I begin to see that people do act like that. I read this one article about the super rich people. Some of them are so out of touch, that they themselves think everyone has loads of money. It's because most of them were brought up in that life style. So they had rich family, rich friends, rich co workers and they go to rich restaurants, hotels, and what not. When I worked at a casino, I saw this. When I was tracking down errors in a person's point earnings. I saw how she would spend over $100k in just under an hour on a slot machine. Do you really think she knows someone who lives on the street? Do you think she even knows or thinks about the poor? KOT

Having worked in retail a majority of my time, SOME of the show is scripted, but some is not. People can be freaks, especially when money comes into the picture.

There is nothing that's not planned. It's just like Pawn Stars on History. It's all fake. Most of the items that are brought in, the people with them are hired to bring them in.
