I just got this remote because it promised on/off control of my audio receiver as well as vol/mute. After programming to the codes supplied by Comcast, I was still unable to get on/off functions to work. vol/mute were ok.

My receiver is a Yamaha HTR-5063. The codes supplied by Comcast are 30176 and 31176. Any suggestions?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it may not be possible to control your Yamaha with the new Xfinity remote; see the below link to what experts have stated about this issue and the new Xfinity remote(s).

Home theater in the box receiver suck for control. Sorry.

The regular line is awesome.

Your choice is to get a basic learning remote like the URC WR7 or dump the receiver.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
