I was going to write a long post/rant/whinge about it all, but it's so depressing I really can't be bothered. Suffice it to say I think I'll be long dead before reasonably decent (let alone superfast) broadband comes to town.
PS It's something of an irony that after our broadband was repaired (several months ago) our speeds are now slightly slower than they were before, and that's even with an i plate (which we previously didn't have) on the master socket.
Oh, and after the rebuild of the local college our Orange mobiles no longer work in the house. Luckily, however, the cows in the field 50 yards hence are okay.

By that do you mean cable?
Back in the old NTL/Telewest days a work colleague rang to enquire about a time frame for reaching Hereford; they just laughed and put the phone down.

Been there, done that. - 100% access of 2Mbps in the Phase one area through 2013
- 100% access to 2Mbps in the Phase two area through 2015
- 100% access to Superfast Broadband in the Phase one area through 2015
- 100% access to Superfast Broadband in the Phase two area through 2018
Not sure where the city fits in though, it's sort of isolated in the bottom of the phase two area, but seemingly not part of it. Then there's this.

Sorry to bang on, but I just love this quote. "In reality, the average speed increase of 1.4Mbits will save you around 6 minutes when downloading a 2 hour film," said Michael Philips, the firm's product director.
