I have several pieces of equipment without remotes. I have a marantz rc 1400 universal remote. can it learn to serve as remote for equipment without a remote?

That remote is essentially for Marantz equipment.

It DOES however have a codeset built in for programming of other brands/equipment. I know you do not have the remotes, as you stated above, but it also has a learning feature for any remotes you do have.

Here is a link to the manual, hope this helps!

If the device was never made with any capability to be controlled by a remote, no.
