Question: Is there a device available to receive the IR code from an older remote and translate the code into a code recognizable to a Dish Network receiver?

Background: The older remote is an integral part of a voice activated system for severely disabled individuals and cost about $3000 to replace. The system is an Imperium 200H made by Tash Inc, purchased in2003, and is no longer available or supported. It works fine with most of today's systems but will neither accept codes nor learn commands for the Dish Network VIP 722K DVR. Dish could provide no help.

Is there such a 'translator'? If not, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Can it learn codes from another remote? Or is that function not working on it?
