I've got a Panasonic TX-L65WT600B. Anyone got any tips on cleaning the screen?

Quality micro fiber cloth, dampened with water if needed?

I've sometimes used pure cotton cloths on my LCDs (various surface treatments) without ill effect. Typically there's only dust, so a quick swipe and they're clean. If there's fingerprints or something else to get off, just make sure you don't get any grit under what you're cleaning.

Yes I've been doing something similar, with what I thought to be reasonable results. However, now we're at the time of year when the sun briefly catches the screen I've noticed, when the set's off, some smeary (greasy?) marks that don't seem to want to respond to just a damp cloth.

Like Daniel said, different screens (materials/coatings) and different products (cleaning) mean that it is a hard question to answer. My only advice is try "it" out in a corner and check it out once dried and in daylight and compare. For the most part most screen cleaners do the job but you don't want to risk messing up the TV because you bought and tried the wrong thing

Are you sure there is nothing in the manual about this? I know, I know... but it might be there.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Here's an article about cleaning your projector screen the right way.

Make sure you don't scrub it or you could damage the surface.
