So VTPro generated cooling down and warming up subpages, with gauges on it(gauges have analog joints assigned) .
It would be nice to use them, and have them pop up, ad show time elapsed etc.
I know theory behind it, I just don't know how to ring those to pages up.

I have System Power toggle button.
Power on turns projector on, flips the page etc. Power off turns it off.
How do I make it bring warming up page, and what do I tie gauges analog joints to, and where do I do it?

I can't make it flip the page to the subpage.... So should I make new page with one of those subpages on it, and flip to it?

It is a nice thing to have as we had it in our showroom for a while. The downside to this is that once you power off the projector you loose the ability to control the room/house until the countdown is done.

If i remeber correctly you go to the properties of the projector and in extenders there is "Power ON/OFF Timout". Select that and then you are able to assign the timeouts for each event. Link the corresponding subpage to each event and then tie the gauges to the Timout time for each event.

Like I said it is a nice thing to have but is also a pain when you want to control lights or music within the room but have to wait for the timeout to end before you gain control on the TP.
You can't fix stupid

This can easily be fixed in Simpl. There might also be a workaround in System Builder, by using flags or conditionals, but I don't know for sure. Maybe Alan or someone else knows...

I don't understand how this is fixed when you have a subpage appear that takes up the whole screen. I guess you could reduce the size of the subpage but then are eliminating the purpose of the subpage and might as well remove the timeouts. Another thing you could do is add lighting modes and audio select on the subpage.

The timeouts are in place to eliminate the sudden change that a projo bulb may see if turned off then turned back on quickly. Now most projectors are smart enough and wont issue the power command until the warm-up/cool down sequence has finished.

I can see this being used for a dedicated theatre to add some "jazz" to the program but in my case we have 2 displays within the room and it is not practical if we switch from the TV to Projo or vise versa.

In Simpl, the timer can *only* be activated if the projector or display is asked to turn on. It would have no effect when selecting audio-only sources, or to perform functions that don't need the projector, like lighting, HVAC, etc.

For a showroom with multiple displays, you could also have a *separate* timer for each display.

Finally, you can add a "cancel timer" button to the subpage, to over-ride it. The button could be hidden, if you don't want the end-user doing it. I usually set it up with a transparent button over the entire page, so touching it will clear the subpage (but not cancel the timer). Touching and *holding* the button/subpage for 3 seconds will clear the subpage AND cancel the timer, allowing the power command to be sent instantly. This is very useful when we're testing the system.

You can do it in system builder as well with state variables and conditional logic. Make a Variable for Projector Status: ON/OFF. In your projector module assign the on variable to the Projector ON FB and the off variable to the Projector OFF FB. You can then add logic for the sub pages based on the variable.

That is exactly why I want to lock out the remote. When they hit power on, I don't want them to be able to hit any buttons, and not get any results since projector is not wormed up.

Both systems are in art school theatres, and there wil be lots of different end users. plus artist are better with art then technology ;)

I know how to do it in Simpl, but I don't want to use Simpl, to not get locked out from SB.
