So in system builder there is a way to program hard buttons using these drop down menus....
How do i program a macro on a hard button?

Make sure you are on the correct device page _ Not Project Level. I also auto-join a new join number to make sure I don't screw something up. Then look over in the SB window where the grahpics and everything is. In the feedback & logic area you can program the macro.
In the same place you would do it if you were programming on a graphic-button, you just have to have the hard button manager open and the button you want to program selected.

Best method as stated above is to ALWAYS auto join your buttons when you add joins. This way you will not have a conflict with what System Builder populates for Logic. Just make sure you scroll down to the correct page you want to add your logic unless it is a PROJECT LEVEL global change.
