I have done several with no issues so far. What kind of issues have you had?

The main issue is that the remote is locking up, getting garbled graphics ( i have yet to witness in person) and requires being reset. Some clients are resetting once a week, some once every two week, some once every day or so.

The PMC2's are fine, its just the remote that has to get reset. Other than the reset, all works fine, the problem is the remote constantly messing up is causing my clients to question the quality fo the product.

Are your systems on the home network? Private crestron network? Or none?

Are you programming in SB?

Are you using the DYnamic presets?

Are you using JPEG or PNG background files?

Are you properly sizing all your graphics or letting the the panel do it?

Using a NTDesigns Template.

Unit would lock up, replaced the unit and havent had any more issues. It's been about 2 months I think. Good Luck. It's the only Prodigy system I've done.

no dynamic presets on the ptx3 (ok on the ptl4). happened to all the systems in the prodigy class at crestron in mid december. no solution yet that i know of.

start with wizard then mod in sb. hacked in a temporary flip to the presets on the ptx3.

using defaults. working on overcoming some control issues first.

WHat is the issue you are having. Trying to stay on topic but this could be a culprit of my issues. I have successfully used the Dynamic Presets through SB programming on all of my PTX3's, without any extra workaround.

On a vanilla build with just the prodigy composer (mental block on that name for 2 months now - keep wanting to say wizard - [we are an it shop first]) the dynamic preset page does not appear on the ptx3 nor is there a button, like on the ptl4, to goto the preset page.

the pages are built but nothing accesses them.

It sound like your destiny template file isn't correct so when the panel is generating pages it isn't seeing the graphics or someting to assign the code to. Maybe trying re-installing teh destiny templates.

i've had this on 2 systems that were built/downloaded separately. i just loaded up the s/w on a system at the office last week (fresh). will see what happens once i build the demo system.

unfortunately i am indirect (thru disty) so i can't open my own issues.

Go to properties under your cable/sat box. Look for extenders and under the list of extenders look for the checkbox on Dynamic Preset Extender. You will see an option to Configure underneath. Configure the Presets so that it Populates the graphics for you.

Most of our customers complain about the remote locking up once a week or more. We have already replaced all the units in the field for the sticky side button.

I have the same remote lockup issues as well in the field. In my own personal system, I have it about once a week also.

I've trained my customer to hold the top power button down for 5-6 seconds until it hard power cycles the remote and everything seems to be fine. I tell them it basically a little Microsoft computer (which it is) and just like their own computers, need to be reset once in a while.

I wish there was a known fix or something we are all doing that is causing this.

preset problem:

if i set the scientific atlanta cable box and choose tv tuner w dvr for the pages to be built the presets come in, if i choose just tuner, they don't.

the look into the template showed that that would be the case (assuming i am deciphering the template correctly)

[edit] arghh! didn't build the keypad pages now

modified the prodigy ptx3 template to fix this issue on my system (saved as a new template).

added the 'missing' pages to the TV TUNER section.

the actual device was a scientific atlanta (non dvr) and regardless of what Add Panel Pages device i chose i would not get a complete set of pages.

i know that a tivo using dvr pages would build properly.

What cable box and what Template: Add panel pages (from properties tab of your cable box) drop down choice works for you?

Is there any documentation that describes the Template Data - that SB uses to build its program?
