I currently have a whole house system with an HAI OmniPro II panel which control all the lighting, alarm, and thermostats. There are motion sensors and occupancy/vacancy sensors which turn on/off lighting based on times and flags that I have personally programmed. I've gradually added components over the years, and the system works really well.

I used to use iRule to control the panel, but I had an RTI system installed based on the recommendation of my installer -- whom I really trust. Unfortunately we have not been able to make the RTI and OmniPro II work together well (see my other recent thread). I'm not receiving any feedback from the panel in my RTI app, and that really reduces the functionality of the system. The RTI does control my home theater components, all the televisions, Apple TVs, Directv genies, and Sonos system flawlessly.

My preference would be to keep the Omni and use Crestron to control it. This would be cheaper clearly, and with all the wiring complete, I would just need the installer to install the controller (I assume?). Does anyone know if Creston supports the OmniPro II with full feedback?

Alternatively, is it possible to do a full retrofit with Crestron? I assume that would entail changing out each and every light switch/thermostat/security keypad/motion sensor to their compatible products. Would that give me the same level of automation control (e.g. walk into a room and the light goes on if it's a certain time of the day or certain lights turn on at certain times when alarm is in vacation mode)? I am likely finishing attic space into a bedroom suite in the next year and a half, so I could entertain the possibility of redoing the entire system then -- particularly since OmniPro is a defunct product with no future and no updates possible. Any advice would be appreciated!
