We have a customer that has 2 NEC NP1000 Projectors. We are updating their system with a DMPS3-4K-350-C-AIRMEDIA presentation system. The projectors have a DVI input but not HDMI. The max resolution on the DVI input is SXGA+/60Hz. The DM-RMC-4K-100-C units won't scale so we are going to have to use the HDMI outputs to scale the signal. Without adding the expense of the Crestron scaler units, can we use a 3rd party HDMI extender with a DVI adaptor to the projector?

The customer is unable to change out the projectors and screens due to budget constraints.

Isn't the output of the DMPS HDBT? You can use whatever HDBT receiver you want with this. I am not sure how you would set the scaling on a third party receiver (never done it) but I'm sure there is a way this is possible.

The other issues that may arise will be HDCP blanking due to the projectors or not being 2.2 compliant.
You can't fix stupid

On the DMPS you can choose the resolution on the HDMI outputs but not the DM outputs.

Doubtful that the projectors are 2.2 compliant but the spec says they are HDCP on the DVI input

Ok so you aren't scaling anything here.

Set your EDID to 720p on all outputs.

Set your Inputs to 720p.

Buy some HDMI to DVI adaptors. (Make sure you get the right flavor of DVI).

I say 720p as the projectors won't do 1080p natively
