Just wrapped up a job with (3) HR-150's and we're seeing a weird little thing. After the system has been idle for a day or so, and you turn on any zone (any source) with the remote, the zone turns on and everything seems alright. Then about 30 seconds later, it'll stop responding to input commands for about a minute after which it resumes normal operation. Sounds familiar to anyone?

I'm beginning troubleshooting on-site now. We're using (2) ER gateways and a CP3.

Thanks!

Error logs?

2.4GHz analysis?

Location of gateways Vs Location of WAPs?

By ER Gateways do you mean the CEN-ERRFGW(old one) or the CEN-GWEREX(newest one)?

RFIDs?

If you trigger commands for a zone via Debugger same thing or is it only acting odd from physical remotes?

SIMPL program or Studio? And all of thecynic315's questions.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't do the programming here, but asked the programmer about it today. He asked me to check up on firmware versions, which I did, and they were latest.

I checked the error logs in the CP3 and gateway. Nothing in the gateway, at all, which is actually kind of weird, I thought. There was stuff in the CP3 log but it didn't seem to me to pertain to this (no mention of the address or IPID).

Haven't done a 2.4GHz analysis...I guess I need to get on the ball there.

Gateways were strategically placed away from WAPs, and both are about 20' away.

CEN-GWEREX

Didn't check RFIDs, and to be completely honest I'm not sure what I'm looking for there. Can you explain that?

I just learned today that I don't need the uncompiled program to run debugger in 3-series projects, so I'm going to try that next time I'm there. I was going to do it today, but it only seems to do it on the first try of each visit. I don't think sitting a few hours does it - it's gotta be a good amount more than that. Sorry...that's vague, but this is a bit of a weird one.

It's a Simpl program.

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't check the HR-150 firmware version, which probably should have been the #1 thing to do. Next time I'm there, I'm going to monitor the Gateway itself as well as the network switch while it's happening to see if I can detect where the breakdown occurs.

I hate the weird issues.

And what were those errors?

If something like the ethernet stack is FUBAR that would be an issue while also NOT mentioning the address, IPID or RFID

I went back and tried to replicate the issue after setting up debugger to monitor things. It didn't happen again. Everything was stable for the time I was at the site. I'll just have to keep an eye on it.

Also worth checking charge, age, and quality of the batteries; recently had a customer report erratic HR150 behavior that seems to have been resolved w/ battery replacement.

Thanks - this one is a new install, but I'll be sure to keep an eye on that. That's probably the *only* thing I don't like about the HR-150, but that's a pretty small gripe, I think.
