Hello,
I'm trying power on/off panasonic vx500vga via crestron mpc-m5 but no success.
commands is PON and POF should be ok. Commands correctly applying by projector if I connected via rs232 cable and command like $02PON$03 .
I tried: PON ; \x02PON ; \x02PON\x03 ; and other combinations , also i tried acsii codes like 050,\0x50, \x50 etc.
As i know it's not needed to send \x02=STX and \x03=ETX but.. What i do wrong ?
May be somebody else faced with same issue..

UPD: sanyo projectrors correctly works if I send C00/C01 (power on/off) .

Try send this..

\x02ADZZ;PON\x03
\x02ADZZ;POF\x03

Or use a module.

Have you checked the Baud rate is set correctly?
I forget to check it sometimes and wonder why things are not working.

Thanks a lot, but it doesn't work)
I also tried Power_On , PON, \x02ADZZ;PON\x03 , %1POWR=1, POWR 1, POWR1 and etc.
All commands I get from different modules.
settings for rs232 is ok - baud, bits , etc.

Are you using a SIO to send the commands?

If so try:
Power On ====> \x02PON
Power Off ====> \x02POF

And set delimiter to \x03
