I want to change so that the "HOME" button on the PTX3 goes to the Family Room Media Source Select Page, instead of the Prodigy HOME page.

 - For this I just went through and changed the HOME button's Digital Join to the same as teh "Media" option which should change to the "Current Room Source Select" page.

Next Question. By SB programming I have a PTL4 in a kitchen as an Audio zone except the Dynamic Presets are the same as what they put on the PTX3 which is TV related and we wnat those on the PTL4 to be music channels.

Should I add 2nd cable box with dynamic extenders just for the Kitchen, although it will just be controlling the same cable box, but give them a 2nd set of Dynamic presests that could be just for the Kitchen basically.

What do you think?

Probably this will work:

- Open the panel project
- Select a page
- Open the hard button manager
- Find the Home button
- Remove any existing programming (there should not be any), SB will warn you're editing a 'project wide' setting, continue.
- If you keep getting 'missing programming' errors, set the button join to back to join 5.
- Set a page flip to the home button to the page you want to go.

The above might not work correctly if the page you wanted to go to is a SB automatic generated page, in that case you need to find out first which signal is triggered to flip to the page (like: 'room select line 6 is selected') and assign that signal to the home button.

Instead of the Home button, maybe better to assign your page to the 'Media' button?
The next version of my control software will be so great, it will control the world! Or maybe not, in that case wait for the update which should come really soon.

Yes, just add a dummy cable box, name it Satellite Music or something like that to easily distinguish it on the source selection.

Seems to be working pretty good. I am having a little bit of struggle. I'm trying to take all the PResets and make them the "MAIN" page so that when they press cable it goes to these presets instead of the controls. I am deleting the controls completely as they are not needed for this situation.

I think I may have it working now, but am loading to test.

I am having an issue with the Bluray player not turning on. I'm pretty sure my power command is good but am going to test it. I tried adding an extra step to the bluray Source button to make sure and turn the powr on every time.

I don't really know how SB handles toggle power devices. If it is turning everything on when the system is started but the bluray is turning off due to inactivity than that could be teh problem. Time to start testing and see what the hell it is.

You need to use the good old PLAY-PLAY-POWER as a discreet off and PLAY-PLAY as a discreet on.

I just tested and I think my PLAY command isn't working.

So do I have to change it in deal and than replace the Bluray completly and redo all my program or can I just fix it in deal, rebuild my user library in SB and have it there to assign manually?

Me personlly, I would add a new dummy bluray player and map the play button to the new dummy bluray that hopefully works. When you go rebuilding IR databases, you're begging for an issue.

However, It is "Supposed" to keep the programming when you replace a bluray player or other source unit.

you can right click on the device in SB and choose to replace it.
it will then retain all (or most) programming..

Okay, I just redid the play command and added built the library and all is good.

The thing I cannot figure out is this. On my PTL4, when they select CABLE MUSIC, it jumps to the Cable Music MAIN page. I see that the User Presets is actually just a popup onto that page, so the logic is "Show User Presets"

I changed it so that if they press MAIN, it just goes to the Presets. However, I can't get it to show the presets by default when the first select cable music as a source.

I went to the audio Source page where the macro is stored and added the step to show User Presets, but it doesn't seem to do anything, perhaps this is due to the page flips that are also taking place.

Is there a way to due something Logic based, say Whenever Page Flip Cable Music Main is active or triggered or whatever , show User Presets?

A number of ways to do this and you're on the right track. Set a variable in variables, have it linked as a global expression so that when variable = true go to presets page. Call that variable upon device selection.

If you are using scrolling text macro than when surce_x_fb=true call the variable ( set variable to true )

Link preset subpage to variable=true.
