A customer had me install an Apple TV (Gen 4) to their older prodigy system. I dropped the IR driver in but the select command is not working too well. On the main Apple TV page when you select an app, on the first pulse the app just shakes. Another pulse gets it to open the app. Has anyone had this experience before?

Sounds like the IR bug is slightly off where it needs to be, they can be finicky. I just set all mine up over IP. Just the basic controls but it works awesome. Got the module off the Yahoo group. The download comes with 2 modules for both the AppleTV2-3 and AppleTV4.

The gen4 Apple TVs allows you to learn IR codes into it. I know it takes a bit longer to install but learning these codes would save time rather than trying to troubleshoot apples "select" command using an IR driver that may or may not work

I know when I am dealing with Apple TV 4 devices in AV systems for work I tend to use the Apple TV 4 CEC module in the Crestron database.
I don't have experience with Prodigy but if you have any means of sending CEC messages these are the commands:
Select: \x04\x44\x00 Up: \x04\x44\x01 Down: \x04\x44\x02 Left: \x04\x44\x03 Right: \x04\x44\x04 Menu: \x04\x44\x0D Home: \x04\x44\x10 Play\Pause: \x04\x44\x44 User Control Released: \x04\x45
\x means the next two characters of hex.

The latest PMC3 firmware allows it to use any Crestron device not just Prodigy. Original Prodigy doesn't work with DM.

There is a newer IR driver in the Db, swap that in.
Also be sure to position the emitter correctly
Gen 4 - bottom center
Gen 5/4K - bottom left of center.
