You just started doing this type of layout? You're very late but welcome to the party.

I got out of Crestron a long time ago (right when Core 3 came out), but I just got sucked back in. Client is super particular and wants one of my designs from another system ported over and really doesn't care what it costs.

Well then welcome back! Crestron is in the process of making SG obsolete so if you have hair, now is the time to start pulling it out!

I didn't hear about this... are they going back to the same way they used to in VTPro-e? By that, I mean simply importing buttons / graphics from external folders?

I don't mind either way. Rumor has it, this client wants to rip AMX out of four more houses. I'll be busy for quite a while, and even it is (SG) going away at some point, I am glad I spent the time learning it.

RTI did a good job of implementing 9-Slice graphics with their new software called Apex. Super easy to create and import your own scalable buttons, and everything is icon on 2 state button.

If the client really doesn't care what it costs, then what's the problem? :-)

Right now all that is publicly known and that I will publicly discuss is they are moving to HTML5 but you won't have to know HTML5 to design the panels.

Just a quick heads up... I have had a "Coming Soon" for new Crestron templates on my website for a long time now.

There are a lot of hurdles to overcome when working with Smart Graphics. One of them being a custom theme. You either have to create your own from scratc with everything perfectly in place or edit / add to one of the OEM themes.

I decided to "hybridize" (I made that word up) the Neo-CT theme and bleend it with all of my own custom graphics and icons. Neo has a very similar style to the template I wanted to port over (Aleera). So, a week or so ago, I dove right back into Crestron with the intent of making this happen.

I was able to combine the two together and come up with something unique without ever going outside the boundries of what is already included in VTPro-e.

I am almost finished with the iPad template, and the others will arrive very quickly after that. If anyone is interested, I can post some screenshots.

The templates will have all the standard pre-made pages and support the 302 (240 x 320). iPad, iPhone, 760 (and anything else with a 800 x 480 resolution screen), 1060 (1280 x 800 screens), and 1542 (1920 x 1080 screens).

Would adding the TSR-310 (320 x 480) be an issue. I feel like this remote will become more prevalent than the 302 as it is at a very competitive price point and will slowly remove the 302 from the Crestron lineup.
You can't fix stupid

At this point you may want to invest in learning CSS3

Templates are going through final testing and will be up on my website May 1st. I have a template for the 302 (240 x 320) and one for the 310 (320 x 480), plus I added a 1024 x 600, 960 x 540, 1280 x 800, 1920 x 1080 along with iPad (landscape) and iPhone.

This should cover just about everything. :)
