I didnt do my homework ahead of time and picked up an AES to replace my current distributed audio setup (extron matrix and speakercraft amps) and now im learning that there is no direct connection from my PRO2 to the new AES. Should i just punt now and give it to someone that is working on a simple distributed audio setup or is there an easy way to control it with my PRO2 that i did not see. I like the way i can control my DM with the PRO2 and thought i would get the same thing here... DOH!

I would have loved to pick up a SWAMP but good golly those things are still expensive!

I thought you could make the AES a Cresnet Slave but a quick look at the specifications shows its a Master only.

Could it be controlled with EIC symbol ?
Something to try out.

you can just use an EISC to talk to the AES from the PRO2.

the AES is a PITA but you could just send 2 analogs per zone to get the basics to work.

If you just want audio control and are using the installed tuner cards, I would create a basic Sysyem builder (scary I know) program and add eisc's (SB calls them RSD's) for zone and tuner card control. On the pro2 you put all your external devices and control them in simpl. You can program the AES in simpl also but I think it would take a lot longer than what system builder can make in a matter of minutes.
You can't fix stupid

How large is the program on your Pro2?
What subsystems are you using?
Touchscreens?

PUNT! and look for an old AAE if you just want an audio matrix.
